WHAT IS THE "ARE YOU PRIME?" VOCAL COMPETITION?

We are looking for talented young singers who would like to be a part of our show!

There are 2 songs performed in the opening segment of the show, in a videotaped format, much like "American Idol".
6 WINNERS EACH WEEK - 3 male, 3 female -- will be chosen through a live audition process to be featured in the show, 2 each night.
On closing night, July 1, ONE LUCKY CONTESTANT will be chosen as the "Are You Prime?" winner.
The GRAND PRIZE is a professional recording session of you singing the featured song.
The recording session will be held in Los Angeles the week of July 3.

HOW DO I ENTER?
Listen to the song samples on the website. The lyrics are provided for each song.
Female contestants will be singing "Sunrise This Morning." Male contestants will perform "Susan, What Were You Thinkin'?"
Practice singing the *highlighted* section of the lyrics with the non-vocal audio track.
These are the segments of the songs that you will be asked to audition with.

Come to the show.
We want contestants to see how we intend to use their performance in our production.
During intermission, sign up at the Director's Table for an audition.
Auditions will be held each Saturday afternoon, for spots in the show the following week.

You will need to bring a current photo, and a resume or contact info sheet to the audition.
(It is not necessary for you to have a professional headshot or resume in order to be a contestant.)
You will have the opportunity to do 3 takes of the song, to help guarantee that we get your best possible performance.
Your audition will be videotaped, and reviewed by the director and the composer/author of PRIME.

The 6 winners chosen that week will be notified on Sunday of the exact date in which their performance will appear.
All winners must sign a contract/waiver allowing us use of their videotape image and voice for this specific purpose.
(Winners under 18 must have their parents present at the audition to sign the waiver.)

All 18 winners will be invited to join us for our closing night performance, where we will announce the GRAND PRIZE WINNER.
(You do not need to be present that evening in order to win.)
